Who we are and what we do
Citizens Advice Bucks is a registered charity that helps everyone, whatever their problem, to find a way forward. Established on 1st April 2021, we formed from three extremely well established advice charities that have had decades of experience delivering advice in our communities. Our team are all experts, trained to provide accredited and qualified advice. That means everything we tell you is legally compliant.
We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. At Citizens Advice Bucks we believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, confidential and independent advice. Not everyone can afford a lawyer if they find themselves with a legal problem. We often help people with advice that cannot be helped in other ways, and all our advice is legally accredited by a body called AQS and the Money Advice and Pensions Service. This means we can give qualified financial advice to people in debt or money problems, or help with complex problems like being an asylum seeker.
That’s why we’re here: to give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to solve the problems they are facing.
We speak up for our clients
No one else sees so many people with so many different kinds of problems, and that gives our charity a insight into the challenges people are facing.
With the right evidence, we can show big organisations – from companies right up to the government – how they can make things better for people. That’s what we really care about, we are here to make things easier for our community.
We see how problems can be linked. We will try to help with the underlying cause of problems and try to make sure they don’t get worse. In doing so we save the government and public services a huge amount of money each year. Our clients often also find themselves better off for getting in touch with us.
