Citizens Advice Bucks is a registered charity that believes everyone deserves access to free advice to help them deal with life’s problems and challenges and our committed and highly trained team of staff and volunteers help us do that.

2023 Volunteer Appeal
‘As a volunteer, you’re made to feel an equal and valued member of the team. Volunteering with Citizens Advice is not only mentally stimulating but also very rewarding.’
Volunteers are at heart of how we deliver the Citizens Advice service, and our team of volunteers across High Wycombe, Aylesbury Vale, and the Chilterns are vital to the work we do; helping people access the information and giving the advice they need to move forward with their lives.
Every year, in Buckinghamshire a dedicated team of 90 highly skilled and trained Citizens Advice volunteers provide vital, free advice to more than 12,500 local people in need. Their dedication helps to make a real difference for many who are facing challenges with issues such as hunger, homelessness, overwhelming debt, welfare issues, and discrimination.
As we are amid the worst cost of living crisis the UK has seen for decades demand for our service is soaring. To help reach this increased demand we urgently need to recruit and train more volunteers. However, with an average cost attached of £3,000 per volunteer we are looking to our supporters to help us fund the recruitment and training of 10 new volunteers to provide additional advice to 2,000 people in need across Buckinghamshire.
£15 will enable a volunteer to offer immediate support to a struggling family with an emergency food voucher and offer a future advice session to explore ways to enhance their income.
£25 will enable a volunteer to email detailed advice to three clients on a range of issues from employment dismissal to energy vouchers.
£50.00 will support a volunteer to help a client with disabilities complete a PIP application, ensuring they access the vital financial support they deserve and need.
