Choosing to remember someone special by making a donation or fundraising in their memory is a wonderful and personal way to remember them.
We realise that losing someone important to you is incredibly difficult and we thank you for considering supporting our charity at this difficult time.
By making a donation or raising funds, you will not only be remembering them, but you will also be helping people in need in their community.
We know it can be difficult to decide the best way forward so, here are some ideas on how you could make a difference in their memory:
- Make a donation- if you or someone you know would like to donate, this can be done via our donate page
- Hold a funeral collection– you may like to ask family and friends to make a donation instead of buying flowers. You can talk to your Funeral Director who should be able to accept cheques and cash donations on our behalf. You can provide them with our contact details and we’ll be happy to assist them if they need any help from us.
- Create an online tribute page- a tribute page is a lasting way to honour and celebrate the life of someone you love. You can choose to link the page to any fundraising activities and events you may be taking part in. One possible supplier is Much Loved, but there are also many others available.
- Hold a fundraiser- you may like to organise your own fundraising event to raise money in honour of their memory, perhaps hosting it at your place of work or in a local community venue.
- Take on a challenge- you might like to take on a bike ride or run and raise funds for us that way in memory of them.
Whatever you decide to do, know that you will be helping raise vital funds for a local charity and helping us help others, in the memory of those you love.
