Advice Line- Freephone 0808 278 7938
There is a wealth of information in our Self-Help section, however, if you want to talk to someone, please call our
Advice Line on 0808 278 7938 which is available Monday to Friday 9:30am- 4.30pm (closed on public holidays). It is
staffed by a small team of staff and volunteers and is usually busiest at the beginning and end of the day.
Trained advisers will listen to your issue and find the best way to help solve it. They will provide you with
information to help you act or help you contact an organisation that can help. If you need more time or expertise to
resolve your issue, they will book you in for a ‘Call Back’ or face to face appointment with one of our advisers or
caseworkers.
Sadly, we continue to receive more calls than we can answer and therefore you may find you have to wait, but we
will answer as soon as we can. If the wait is too long, one of these other options may be of help to you:
- Ask us to contact you– you can ask us to contact you either by telephone or email. To do this you will need
to complete a short contact request form. Please complete it with your details, providing as much
information as you can about your issue. Click here to complete the form. - Visit us– the reception areas in our offices are open on certain days to allow vulnerable clients or those with access needs to pop in and speak to someone or to drop off/collect paperwork. Please note they are not able to offer you an ‘on the day appointment’. When it is your turn, someone will speak with you about the best way of getting assistance from an adviser which may be asking you to call our Advice Line or another helpline, completing a contact us form or accessing information via our website. Please note these days can be busy, so please be prepared and patient. Click here to view sessions.
