After a career in the University of London and at the Law Society of England and Wales, Jane has held non-executive roles at the Care Quality Commission, Healthwatch England (Chair), Thames Valley Strategic Health Authority (Chair), the Gangmasters Licensing Authority (Vice Chair) and as an advisor on governance at the Institute of Directors.
She is a Chartered Director. Her work with Citizens Advice began in 2000 when she became Chair of Buckingham Winslow & District CAB. She went on to sit on several committees, regionally and nationally and was Deputy Chair of national Citizens Advice from 2010 to 2013. She helped launch and still chairs the local CAB charity, BACAB. She lives in Buckingham with her husband, Howard, a former Mayor of Buckingham and now elected Councillor for Buckinghamshire Council. Both enjoy travelling.
