Karen is a former Chief Executive for 18 years, most recently of Wycombe Council. She now runs her own leadership coaching practice in the UK and overseas, in the public, charity and private sectors, and is a Technical Assessor for CE and Director recruitment nationally. She is a Member of Council at Bucks New University where she chairs a committee on maximising educational and social experience for students, and is a member of the Remuneration Committee. She is also a Vice Chair of Community Impact Bucks. She holds a BSc in Anthropology from University College London (UCL) and postgraduate DMS from Hertfordshire Business School. She started her career as an Environmental Health Officer in the London Borough of Haringey, dealing with housing, safety and neighbourhood issues in that highly pressured area, later moving into environmental management and sustainability. Karen has lived and brought up her family in High Wycombe for 23 years.
