Milly Soames, DL shares why she chose to support our charity and become our Founding Patron.
“I am delighted to be a Founding Patron of Citizens Advice Bucks. The commitment of the volunteers and the rigorous training they undergo to advise on a wide range of issues is remarkable. We are so fortunate to have this service in Buckinghamshire for all residents to access for free and in confidence.”
Philanthropic giving and major gifts are crucial to the future sustainability of Citizens Advice Bucks helping us maintain our services across the county, and to help us plan and evolve in response to need.
How you can give a gift
At Citizens Advice Bucks, we are grateful and appreciative of all our supporters and the gifts they afford us. Major gifts can be made to support our core work of providing free, impartial advice to people in Buckinghamshire, or as a restricted donation to a specific service or area of our work.
If you would like to support our work we can accept charitable donations via Trusts and Foundations, CAF, BACS, and cheque. We can also work with you to sign up for our gift aid declaration, helping boost your donation by 25%.
How you can lend your long-term support by becoming one of our Patrons?
This exclusive group brings together philanthropic individuals and organisations who pledge their long-term support on an annual basis as a Patron of Citizens Advice Bucks. Their support is vital in enabling us to plan future growth with more certainty and increase our reach where support is most needed in our community.
As a Patron of Citizens Advice Bucks, we will work with you to arrange an individual plan that supports how and when you would like to make your donations; this could be monthly, quarterly or annually.
Read more about this initiative here in our Patron booklet.
Your support could make a real difference:

- £5,000 could support the recruitment, training, and induction of 1 volunteer adviser.
- £10,000 could pay for a debt caseworker to work in depth with 40 clients.
- £15,000 could answer 500 calls to our Adviceline.
- £25,000 could cover IT infrastructure costs including our case management system.
- £50,000 could cover the annual running costs of two of our services.
