We are thrilled to announce that Craig Glynn has been officially appointed as our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), from 13th June 2024.
Craig is a perfect candidate and has been acting CEO for us since March 2024 whilst also holding his position as Head of Services.
He knows our charity well having worked with us since our creation in 2021 after the merger of 3 local Citizens Advice. He had previously worked for Aylesbury CA before the merger and has been helping people in Bucks move forward with their issues for the last 6 years.
Craig started as a Volunteer Adviser and has held positions as Information and Advice Supervisor as well as Advice Session Manager before his roles as Head of Service and acting CEO. This experience of our charity gives him a thorough understanding of just how important and needed the work we do is and his passion for helping those in Bucks who are in need will ensure a positive future for the charity.
Craig says-
“I am immensely privileged to have been appointed as CEO of Citizens Advice Bucks. Naturally I am excited about the future filled with opportunities available to CA Bucks. These opportunities must align with the responsibility I owe to the staff and volunteers of CA Bucks, the people of Buckinghamshire that we serve, and those we work with to make Bucks a better place.
As such I intend to keep the same focus: Ensuring that all those who are in need of advice are getting the high-quality service they deserve. Because we know that there are many in Bucks who can all too suddenly find that an error, a scammer or just something that is unclear or unjust can have a devastating impact on their lives. I look forward to making sure we help as many as we can.”
Jane Mordue, Chair for the charity, Says’
‘‘Craig will give this organisation the leadership it needs and deserves. We chose him for two reasons. He is an absolute expert in designing and understanding the services we provide to help people across Buckinghamshire. And he embodies what we believe in, that everyone is entitled to clear, quality advice and the desire to help people get their lives back on track. Even better is that he is ‘home grown’ and knows our work at all levels. Welcome Craig!’
Anna Driver has also been promoted to be our new Deputy CEO. She says,
“I am delighted to be appointed to the position of Deputy CEO at CA Bucks. Since joining the charity as the Head of Fundraising and Communications I have had the privilege of hearing firsthand the issues and challenges faced by residents in Bucks and the positive impact our advisers and the advice they give has for them.
I look forward to continuing to work closely with and support our amazing team of volunteers and staff and highlight the important work they do, and the difference made in the county.
I am also very aware of the tough economic climate we and other charities find ourselves in and will therefore remain focused on securing much needed funding to ensure the sustainability of CA Bucks now and for the future, for those who need us.”
