Philip joined Citizens Advice Buckinghamshire following 5 years as a Trustee of Buckinghamshire Mind, including 3 years as Chair during which time he oversaw a full review of strategy, governance, finance and investments, risk management and information systems.
Joining Citizens Advice Buckinghamshire was a natural progression as both organisations have recognised the need to learn the lessons of the last few years, especially from the experience of delivering through the challenges of Covid to understand and address linked issues such as the impact of money worries on mental health and challenging themselves to better understand and meet the needs of the minority ethnic communities in Buckinghamshire.
Philip has lived in Buckinghamshire for 25 years and prior to retirement in 2017 worked in banking in London. He has extensive experience of organisational change, systems change, operating model and process redesign and leading teams through change. He has been a director of a local Credit Union and has been active in his village community.
